1. Self portrait by Jay Lynch, our TOON spotlight of the week. Lynch is the writer of Otto’s Orange Day and the upcoming Otto’s Backwards Day, but he is also an accomplished cartoonist in his own right. Lynch’s works were instrumental in the development of the 1970s Underground Comix movement, known also for his contributions to Mad magazine and for his package designs for Wacky Packages and Garbage Pail Kids.
Allover a weird, wonderful artist. Look out for Otto’s Backwards Day, which hits shelves on August 27th.
