1. …and we started 2013 with this New Yorker cover by Chris Ware—kids going back to school post-Newtown. Again I wonder: what is it going to take to get a ban on assault weapons? Is the answer more guns…but now in schools?

  2. Art did this New Yorker cover in 1993, when kids with guns could only be seen as an ironic exaggeration. Colombine happened in 1999, Newtown in 2012, nearly 20 years later. I share Art’s wish for 2013: no more!
But now talk is about having armed guards in schools… Seriously?

  3. OPEN CALL FOR FUNNY, INTERESTING IMAGES

This is what gets our blood boiling:

    GUNS

THE MELTING OF THE ICE CAPS

    ANIMAL FARMING

    THE 1 PERCENT

These are the topics most on our mind these days, so if you’re an artist who feels strongly about any of these topics, please send us images. THE MOST ARRESTING will be featured here, in our AGITPROP section, and on our social media.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with,

Françoise Mouly & the TOON team
